In consultation with the Office of Attending Physician and following the guidance of the CDC, the US Senate Sergeant at Arms have ordered limited access throughout the Capitol Building as a precaution to the evolving COVID-19 coronavirus. At this time, the Capitol Visitor Center will be closed to all tours through May 1st, 2020. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. Should you be inquiring about a future visit past May 1, we will be in touch soon as we learn more about the timing for resuming tours of the US Capitol.
Other tours in the DC metro area are also on limited availability. We recommend you check in with the tour destination before you depart.
Our Nation’s Capital is filled with many great family-friendly activities. My office can assist you with securing tours at the White House, the United States Capitol Building, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and the Library of Congress. Tour space is very limited, so please be sure to contact my office as soon as you can, once you know your travel dates.
While every effort will be made to accommodate your tour request, due to limited availability and heightened security we ask that you let us know about your trip at least three months in advance of your arrival.
