CHILLICOTHE, OH – Today, U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) delivered remarks at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony.

Portman delivered remarks honoring the brave men and women who put their lives on the line for the United States: “We remember that this country, this great country of ours, has been built on the backs of heroes and patriots. We saw it on 9/11. We’ve seen it in all of our conflicts since, we see it today. As we gather here on this nice, cool September morning, we think about our soldiers in harm’s way – Marines, sailors and airmen – they’re in Afghanistan right now. They’re in Syria, they’re in Africa, they’re all around the globe. We think about our first responders here, we think about the Honor Guard, thank you for being here.”
