Portman Announces $46 Million FEMA Grant to Cleveland Clinic Foundation to Provide COVID-19 Protective Measures

CINCINNATI, OH —Today, U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) applauded the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for awarding a grant totaling $46 million to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation to help with costs associated with COVID-19. FEMA awarded this grant from replenished funds accessible thanks to the bipartisan CARES Act, which Senator Portman supported and signed into law by President Trump.  

"This $46 million federal grant is great news for Ohio because it will help the Cleveland Clinic Foundation continue to provide the emergency care that is desperately needed during this ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,” said Portman. “This pandemic has created significant and unprecedented challenges across Ohio and this grant will provide much-needed additional support for our health care response efforts. I will continue to work with my bipartisan colleagues in Congress to ensure that Ohio has the necessary resources during these uncertain times.”
