BOWERSTON, OH – Today, U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) continued his three-day tour across Southern and Southeast Ohio in Bowerston where he toured the Encino Energy Oil and Natural Gas Rig and met with workers on site. In addition, he saw the new technologies now in use to help expand energy production in Ohio, which creates more jobs and grows the state’s economy.
“I had the opportunity to see firsthand how Encino Energy Oil and Natural Gas Rig is contributing to Eastern Ohio’s oil and gas industry growth,” said Portman. “It was great to tour this facility and talk to their workers on site, and I’m excited about how Eastern Ohio is creating more jobs and strengthening the state’s economy.”
“Encino Energy was proud to host Senator Rob Portman today. We greatly appreciate his support of domestically produced oil and natural gas in Ohio,” said Hardy Murchison, President & CEO, Encino Energy.
Traveling more than 750 miles over three days in Southern and Southeast Ohio, Portman will participate in workforce development roundtables touting his JOBS Act, see an oil production facility, tour several Ohio small businesses which manufacture technology being used to help secure our southern border, and participate in agricultural tours.
