December Jobs Numbers Highlight Need For Pro-Job Environment In Washington

February 11, 2011 | Press Releases
WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) today released the following statement regarding the December Employment Situation Summary.
“Today’s jobs numbers show what most Americans know – that our economic recovery remains fragile, and job growth is still too slow. That’s why we need to remain focused on the right policies that create an environment conducive to the job growth we’re going to need to get our economy going, especially in Ohio.  I hope Washington understands that the actions over the past two years, the job-killing legislation like the new health care law, the new regulations and the record deficits and debt, are making it harder, not easier, for job creators to grow our economy.”
