Portman Welcomes President's Request for Trade Promotion Authority

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-Ohio), former U.S. Trade Representative, issued the following statement regarding the President’s request for the renewal of Trade Promotion Authority (TPA):

“I welcome the President’s request to renew Trade Promotion Authority.  Renewing TPA is vital to increasing American exports and supporting good-paying American jobs.  I am hopeful that a TPA bill can be passed this year without delay.”
