Portman Hails Senate Passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act
WASHINGTON, DC — U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) issued the following statement after the U.S. Senate voted to approve the Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act by a bipartisan vote of 69-30.

This important partnership led to the successful interdiction of 6,000 kilograms of cocaine that was valued at more than $350 million earlier this year.
Glad I was able to join members of the Cape Verde Maritime Operations Center (COSMAR). COSMAR is supported by the U.S. to help interdict illegal drug trafficking as well as other crimes like illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing and illegal immigration.
Cape Verde is one of the strongest democracies in Africa and a key security partner to the U.S. We discussed specific ways to continue to strengthen the relations between our two countries.
