Portman Hails Senate Passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act
WASHINGTON, DC — U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) issued the following statement after the U.S. Senate voted to approve the Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act by a bipartisan vote of 69-30.
Our economy doesn’t need more tax hikes, it needs the Biden admin to work with Republicans to get back to pro-growth, common-sense economic policies that were working prior to the pandemic.
Now, Democrats are raising taxes during a recession. This is only going to hurt American families by taking more money out of their pocketbooks and increasing their costs at a time when they are already struggling.
The Democrats’ $1.9 trillion tax and stimulus spending spree last year is a major factor in the record high inflation we see today. And now we’ve seen two straight quarters of declining economic growth.
The Kharkiv Red Cross Leadership Team is working to establish a rehabilitation center in Kharkiv after the war. Their visit to Cincinnati, the sister city to Kharkiv, will provide an opportunity to conduct research on state of the art rehab facilities & observe best practices
